The initiative

The first major regional initiatives in the Eastern European Internet were officially launched in 2007. They included: meetings, conferences, business networking and business developing. Companies from Bulgaria and Romania began to discuss about the opportunities and the shortages in their Internet Business, a framework seen in the context of a global market.

The conclusion led to a strategic partnership meant to increase the level of professional Internet skills in the Balkan Area. At the initiative of Design.bg the basis was laid for a Professional Training Center, E-Academy, the first initiative of this kind in the Balkans.
